MAKE 2012 YOUR YEAR! - READ THIS
With the new year around the corner i thought i would share the secret to success in ANYTHING with you, so you can make 2012 the best year ever. So here it is!...

Success starts in your head. If you believe you can achieve something you will!

... The only difference between an olympic athlete, successful business person or world champion and you is that they believe they can achieve.

Do not be afraid of failure, there is nothing wrong with finding different paths to achieve your goal.
Your journey will be different to everybody elses so dont worry if the 'guide' you are following from the latest finess mag, business guru or world champions step by step workout to be the next No.1 dosent immediatly propel you to your goal. But instead use all the information you can get as tools to carve your own path.
Anyone can achieve their goals if they open their mind to the possibility of achieving it!

Whether you want to drop a few pounds, run a successfull business or compete at an international level, it all starts in the same place...YOUR MIND.
Make your goal the center of your thoughts and you will naturally gravitate towards it.

Start small and break your goals down into small achievable tasks. Once you start achieving your small goals not only will you be conditioning your mind to succeeding but you will be attracting more success.

BELIEVE in your success in 2012 and this time next year you will have exactly what you want.
Whatever the mind can belive and concieve, the mind can achieve.

Be a champion of your mind!

I hope you all have an amazing new year and i look forward to seeing you all shortly.

Nick

Now what is interesting is that some of you who have read the above have immediately dismissed it as being ‘too good to be true’. However, what if it were true, wouldn’t that be good? The fact is whatever you thought about in relation to the above paragraphs is simply down to your focus of attention, or to put it another way, you look for only those things which your mind and senses are attuned to find, positive, negative or indifferent. That is why for some the glass is half-full and for others half-empty or maybe the glass is just too big? Many great athletes fail over 70% of the time to achieve their goals and very few businessmen/women succeed in their very first ventures. It is the way they deal with those failures, the meaning they attribute to them and the positive experiences they draw from them, which makes them successful. Positive mental attitude. Now I am no great athlete by any measure but I understand that failure is not a negative as long as you take positive experience from it, I remember sitting on the clifftop on Fistral beach watching the surfers, I remember wishing I could do that (I won’t drivel on about how spiritual and soulful it is) I decided to buy a surfboard and off I went, I kept falling off my surfboard, swallowed lots of seawater, got battered by waves but I didn’t give up, I kept trying because I knew in my mind I could surf and the discomfort, pain and embarrassment would be worth it eventually. Now I can surf, though I still keep falling off, swallowing seawater etc…. So if I were to offer you an opportunity to improve your chances of living longer, immediately feel better about yourself and improve your overall general health and well-being, that was totally free - didn’t cost you anything, was readily available with an unlimited resource that would never run out, would you be interested? You should be. Think about it, why do you work? To improve the quality of your life or the lives of those you care for, to have a happier, healthier life. The fact is happiness is not a destination or objective and it’s not something we eventually arrive at. It is something we do. It is an attitude to life. It’s our relationship to the way we feel about life not the way life makes us feel. In short happiness is something that you can achieve right now – if you want to. The reality is that we become addicted to nothing more than our emotional state, and, believe it or not, our minds generate the very chemicals we need to satisfy our emotional addiction, whatever it may be – anger, depression, sadness, victim-mentality or joyful, happy, positive, upbeat, etc. In essence if you need to feel bad about something your brain will produce ‘bad-juice’, and if you need to feel good about something your brain will produce ‘good juice’. What would you rather generate – good stuff or bad stuff? The choice is actually yours. There is now an abundance of research that proves that being happy is good for your health. Look it up on the wonderful internet! It is also claimed that happiness could be more important than smoking in determining your health. Dr Derek Cox, Director of Public Health at Dumfries and Galloway NHS, suspects that for decades health professionals have been missing a big trick in improving the health of the nation. "We've spent years saying that giving up smoking could be the single most important thing that we could do for the health of the nation”. Yet there is mounting evidence that happiness might be at least as powerful a predictor, if not a more powerful predictor than some of the other lifestyle factors that we talk about in terms of cigarette smoking, diet, physical activity and those kind of things." “If you are happy you are likely in the future to have less in the way of physical illness than those who are unhappy.” Dr Derek Cox, Director of Public Health Andrew Steptoe, the British Heart Foundation Professor of Psychology at University College London, has found that happier people also have greater protection against things like heart disease and stroke. "We know that stress which has bad effects on biology, leads to those bad changes as far as health is concerned," said Mr. Steptoe. "What we think is happening is that happiness has the opposite effect and has a protective effect on these same biological pathways".
